Welcome to one of Worthing's most beautiful buildings. This stunning Edwardian cinema, celebrating its centenary this year, has been fully restored to its former glory and is once again open to the public.
Under new management and with a friendly team of staff this is certainly the place to come and be entertained with your film of choice. We have two screens, including the opulent main auditorium, seating 580 and the more intimate 'Electric Theatre', with it's newly refurbished seating.
The Projectionist Bar is open to both the cinema and non-cinema going public, where we serve a range of refreshments such as tea, coffee and alcoholic drinks. You are able to take your drinks with you into the auditorium - very civilised, I'm sure you'd agree.
Our SILVER SCREEN Matinee is on the last Wednesday of every month. Although intended for our more 'mature' audience, we welcome all customers. For this event we show a mixture of classics, black and whites and modern cinema and before your film we serve free tea, coffee and biscuits.
Our next Silver Screen will be Wed 30 Nov - NB: doors open 12.30pm - film starts 1.00pm - ticket price £3.50
As well as our weekly SATURDAY MORNING MOVIES (all tickets £2.50) we have also have our screenings for PARENTS & BABIES. This will be on the first Monday of every month showing a main feature, with the auditorium lights dimmed and the volume turned down a bit! Our next screening will be on Mon 5 Dec - doors open 12.00pm - film starts 12.30pm - ticket price £3.50.
The Dome is open and showing a selection of the latest films 7 days a week, throughout the year. We also have various special events to look forward to, which will be advertised on this site and on the local radio station Splash FM. In October 2010 we were lucky to have 'In Conversation With Jo Brand', as well as hosting a local film festival. This year we shall again be participating in the The National Schools Film Week which was very successful last November when we welcomed over 400 children into our cinema.
In January 2011, in conjunction with SKY Television, we were part of the nationwide launch of their new channel Sky Atlantic, previewing their showcase series 'Broadwalk Empire' ; hosted Splash FM's annual awards ceremony and participated in the massive 'Help the Heroes' charity event, screening 'Quadrophenia'.
During the recent restoration of the building we were lucky to be able to install a lift - very rare in a Grade II* listed building. As a result we now have superior disabled access to both Screen 1 and Screen 2.
Adults (15yrs+) £6.00 all day - Child/Senior Citizens/Students £4.50
Monday nights features are at the bargain price of £3 (occasional features are excluded from this promotion).
